Rob Hogan announced as new College President
During a successful Optometry Tomorrow 2008 conference, Dr Rob Hogan BSc PhD MCOptom was sworn in as Kevin Lewis’ successor as the next President of the College of Optometrists.
The Optometry Tomorrow 2008 conference, held alongside the World Council of Optometry ECOO G2 Conference in London over this past weekend was a resounding success with several hundred delegates attending a series of seminars, workshops and international debates over three days in the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, London, overlooking Parliament Square.
For the past two years, Rob held the position of Vice President and was additionally Chairman of the Board of the College of Optometrists and the Chairman of DOCET. He holds the presidency alongside his ‘day job’ as the
Director of Professional Services for Dollond & Aitchison,
Dr Cindy Tromans PhD BSc MCOptom, Consultant Optometrist and Head of the Department of Optometry at Manchester Royal Eye Hospital was elected as the College’s Vice President.
Both Rob and Cindy will hold their positions for two years.
