Simon Frackiewicz speaks at ABDO CET conference

Simon FrackiewiczSimon Frackiewicz represented CLEARVIEW Training at ABDO’s annual CET conference in Harrogate last weekend.  Simon’s lecture, entitled “Dispensing and Binocular Visionâ€? explored both the positive and negative effects of optical devices on the binocular vision system. ABDO LogoThe lecture was a resounding success and delegates gave an average feedback score of 93% for presentation and content.

Topics covered in the lecture included:

• Concomitant strabismus and accommodation
• Incomitant strabismus and diplopia
• Anisometropia and optical complications
• High ametropia
• Nystagmus

One aspect of the presentation which provoked a lot of interest was the use of a nomogram to aid the calculation when combining horizontal and vertical prisms into one single prism orientated at an oblique angle.

Please contact Simon via the blog if you would like a copy of the nomogram.
