The Ophthalmic Antique International Collectors’ Club

From Frank Barraclough:
‘The Ophthalmic Antique International Collectors’ Club has just celebrated its 25th Anniversary.
With around 200 members worldwide, in many different occupations, it caters for most aspects of ophthalmic antiques covering some 40 different categories.
A quarterly Newsletter, which has just published its 100th issue, is sent to all members as part of the modest annual subscription. The OAICC has had close associations with the College of Optometrists since they were both formed about the same time.
The College has provided the Club with the venue for its AGM since 1986, whilst the Club helped the College considerably with the documentation and cataloguing of the BOA Museum. ‘
Frank Barraclough, Chairman of the OAICC and Life Fellow of the College, now retired after 50 years as an optometrist.
