Held over two days at the university’s Fight for Sight Optometry Clinic in London, this two-day weekend course hosted by CLEARVIEW Training is held towards the end of the pre-registration year in time to prepare for the Final Assessment.
On the Saturday, all delegates will have the opportunity to sit all of the practical exams that make up the final assessment; the Routine exam, the Contact Lens aftercare and fitting exams, the Ocular Disease vivas and the Ocular Disease station exams. Exams are held under exam conditions in real time and are examined by current College Examiners. Following each exam there will be an opportunity for one to one feedback.
The Sunday consists of a rotation through a number of tutorial and practical sessions held in small groups, covering the Clinical Decision Making (CDM) Exam, slit lamp skills for the Contact Lens aftercare exam and a full binocular vision assessment in preparation for the Ocular Disease station exam.
In the Clinical Decision Making tutorials, delegates will have the opportunity to go through prepared clinical case records followed by a group Q & A session.
There are a limited number of places on this course and delegates are advised to book early to avoid disappointment.
