Simon Frackiewicz represented CLEARVIEW Training at ABDOâs annual CET conference in Harrogate last weekend. Simon’s lecture, entitled âDispensing and Binocular Visionâ? explored both the positive and negative effects of optical devices on the binocular vision system. The lecture was a resounding success and delegates gave an average feedback score of 93% for presentation and content.
For some time we have been keen to see the development of training stretch beyond conventional accredited CET. So it is refreshing to see that the Association of Optometrists (AOP) are taking a lead in something quite unique.
This 50 year old lady had recently returned from competing in a triathlon. Clearly very fit, she was blissfully unaware of a surprisingly high blood cholesterol level. Needless to say, the loss of vision in the right eye was very swift which prompted her to visit the local eye department.
