Credit Crunch?

The turmoil of the markets still seems to be in the papers with some Banks saying they are back on track for ‘08, The bank of England saying the Credit fears were overstated, The Halifax saying there was definitely a house price drop of 0.9% in April and Oil at a record of $120/barrell, I was left wondering whether this impact had been felt within the Optical market as a whole?

Are we feeling the pinch within the Optical market? on the high street? Within the manufacturers & distributors? Certainly from speaking to my contacts within the sector business seems to be good - so what are your thoughts?
